Dance Journey at Miraval

Connect mind, body and soul while dancing the stress away. Join top dance pros Todd Wilson, Tracey Katona and Russell Warfield during this 4 day experience of dance including jazz, Broadway, ballet, latin, hip-hop, lyrical and more. The week of dance builds self-esteem, confidence and forges bonds between participants that last a lifetime. For some, it’s experiencing a lifelong dream of living the life of a dancer for a week. For others, it’s expressing feelings through movement. And for all, it’s an exhilarating, fun and joyful way to workout.

BALLET BODY WORKOUT
Perform exercises that strengthen your core, tone muscles, increase flexibility and improve balance and posture. Beautiful music and graceful movements will inspire you as you develop the strength and poise of a ballet dancer. This class is for all levels.

DISCO FEVER!
Hustle your way back to the 70’s in this class inspired but some of your favorite disco hits! Get down while you learn groovy steps and who knows…maybe you’ll leave with a Saturday night Fever! This class is for all levels.

ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK!
Revisit the days of sock hops, greasers and poodle skirts as you dance to your favorite music from the ’50s! Be ready to twist, jitterbug, stroll and hand-jive your bobby socks off! This class is for all levels.

POP JAZZ
Ever imagine becoming a backup dancing for your favorite pop star. This class begins with a 10 min warm up, then a 10 min across the floor routine, followed by a 30 minute center piece of backup dancer choreography. This class is for all levels.

ROCK IN ROLL
You are a rock star. This high energy dance class will get you moving to a iconic piece of rock ’n roll. This class is based on jazz dance technique. You will begin with a 10 min warm up, then 10 min across the floor routine, followed by 30 minutes of center piece of rock choreography. This class is for all levels.

JAZZ FUNK
Feel the beat drops and you let your hips swing side to side. Get down with your funky self in this awesome free flowing dance class. This class is based on jazz and hip hop dance technique. You will begin with a 10 min warm up, then a 10 min across the floor routine, followed by 30 minutes of center piece funky choreography. This class is for all levels.

 

SOULFUL STRETCH
End your day with a great stretch and soulful piece of choreography. This class will workout your sore spots and move your body to a R&B classic. 10 min warm up, 10 min across the floor. 30 min piece or choreography. This class is for all levels.

FARWELL CLASS: LYRICAL
Music and movement have the power to connect, speak directly to your soul. This class combines the slow, stretching techniques of jazz and ballet. You will begin with a 10 min warm up, followed by 40 minutes of reflective lyrical choreography. This class is for all levels.

MUSICAL THEATER
Take a magical trip to the Broadway stage and learn your favorite Broadway show steps. Begin with a warm up, then learn across the floor choreography. Come dance (and sing) along with us in this toe tapping adventure. All levels welcome.

ALL THAT SASS
As we grow older we only refine our fabulous sassy selves. Come on in and shake your hips in this sassy class incorporating flavors from jazz and hip hop dance. This class is for all levels.

SWINGING 60’s! Swing on over and join us cool cats as we cut a rug to the upbeat music of the 60’s! You’ll learn a fun dance and have a gas! This class is for all levels.

LATIN FEVER
Let’s get ready to Rhumba!! Join us for a fun class learning various latin dance styles such as salsa, cha-cha and merengue. You’ll learn the basic steps to this most popular dance style with plenty of hip action and flair! This class is for all levels.

JAZZ ROOTS
Some like it hot but we like it Jazz Hot! Learn traditional dance moves and put them to a fun routine. You will shoulder roll and isolate your hips as you express yourself to the rhythm of the music. This class is for all levels.
